IDHDP gets ECOSOC status

This will give IDHDP access to all of the UN bodies that are open to NGOs, including the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council.  This access is essential for our advocacy work as it allows us to influence decision-makers at the highest international level by delivering statements, participating in negotiations and holding side events at the UN under the name of IDHDP.

Final status is subject to the approval of the Economic and Social Council, which will consider and take action on the Committee's recommendation at its Coordination and Management Meeting to be held from 25-26 July 2017.
